Conférence Hypothèses du 15 avril + Appel à communications pour la saison 2015-2016

Venez nombreux à la dernière soirée Hypothèses de la saison ! Elle aura lieu le 15 avril à 16 h au Salon des amis du Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal, soirée qui a pour thématique « Walking The line | Manipuler les frontières de la mémoire ».

Lors de cette séance, vous assisterez à la conférence de Jessica Kirsh (2e cycle, Concordia) intitulée : « Cardiff and Miller’s Alter Bahnhof Video Walk : Interactivity, Perception and the (De)construction of Memory », et à celle de Claudia Polledri (3e cycle, UdeM), intitulée « Dommages collatéraux. Quand l’artiste relit l’histoire du Musée National de Beyrouth ». La séance sera présidée par François Letourneux (professeur invité, UdeM). Les conférences seront suivies d’un cocktail dont la boisson sera offerte par Vins Philippe Dandurand, et Hypothèses remercie l’Association des cycles supérieurs en histoire de l’art de l’UQAM (ACSHA) pour leur contribution spéciale à cette soirée.

You are cordially invited to the next Hypotheses Symposium being held on April 15th at 4:00PM in the Salon des amis of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. The theme of the evening is “Walking The line | Manipuler les frontières de la mémoire”.

Hypotheses is a monthly speaker series that generates discussions designed to highlight emerging research related to the disciplines of Art History and Museum Studies. It creates an opportunity for graduate students in Art History to share and discuss their ideas with a wider Montreal audience, one that extends beyond the university.

Our speakers will be Jessica Kirsh (M.A. candidate, Concordia university) presenting a paper entitled “Cardiff and Miller’s Alter Bahnhof Video Walk: Interactivity, Perception and the (De)contruction of Memory”, and Claudia Polledri (PhD candidate, University of Montreal) presenting a paper entitled “Dommages collatéraux. Quand l’artiste relit l’histoire du Musée National de Beyrouth”. François Letourneux (Associate Professor, UdeM) will chair the session.

The evening will be followed by a reception where the conversation can continue in a more relaxed environment. Our sponsor Philippe Dandurand will offer the wine, and Hypotheses would also like to thank the Graduate Students Association of the UQAM (ACSHA), for their special contribution to the evening.
